    Telok Ayer Street and the lanes off it, Amoy Street and Stanley Street, are full of lunch spots, and a handful do a proper burger. Smash Street on Amoy Street is the best of them, three thin patties and an onion relish that steals the show. Moosehead’s double cheeseburger and The Market Grill’s signature cheeseburger both have great patties held back by average fries. Meatsmith keeps it simple and gets it right. American Taproom on Stanley Street is a standard bar burger.
