Tanjong Pagar has two of the best burgers we have eaten in Singapore. The wagyu burger at Bar-Roque Grill in the Amara hotel has a near-perfect patty, and it held up when we went back in 2025. The Signature Polo Bar Burger at Polo Bar Steakhouse on Cook Street runs it close. Cafe & Bar Gavroche on Tras Street does a good one with tarragon sauce, and Lion Brewery Co on Club Street is worth it with bacon and blue cheese added. The rest are office-tower bar burgers around Guoco Tower and Anson Road, decent and rarely more.
